I’ve got a really over-the-top annual event, held in a water-front Miami mansion. It’s a bit different than the other non-profit galas over the course of the year, as it’s organized and hosted by primarily a young, social, and surprisingly civic-ly minded group of South Beach professionals (note: I was on the host committee last year). This event is a strong recommend if you’re interested in a surreal entertaining spectacle (major production goes into this) of drinking, models, really good food…all for a good cause. From the site:
The Hearts & Stars Gala 2012, one of South Florida’s premier social and philanthropic events, will be held on March 10, 2012 at the waterfront estate, Shangri-La, which is located at 17 N Hibiscus Drive, Hibiscus Island. All proceeds from Hearts & Stars Gala benefit The Little Lighthouse Foundation (LLF). Founded in 2010, LLF is a registered 501(c)(3) non-–-profit organization that rallies volunteers and conducts high-profile events to benefit children and their families throughout South Florida. Focusing on supporting children and families who face medical, educational, emotional and financial challenges, LLF’s network of active young professionals contribute both time and financial contributions. These contributions benefit Internal Little Lighthouse Programs and a network of other noteworthy local charities. We look forward to seeing you at the Hearts and Stars Gala 2012.
Props to Rob Sena and the gang for keeping this up.Tags: events, Miami, party, philanthropy
