Founder, Overtown Music Project
Amy Rosenberg is an attorney and arts advocate who is passionate about Miami. Three years ago, Amy founded the Overtown Music Project (OMP), a non profit organization dedicating to preserving and showcasing the tradition of music that existed in Overtown, a historically African American community that was created by the forces of segregation.
OMP is both an arts and social services organization that puts on multi-sensory events, tends to the needs of a population of musicians who played in the heyday of Overtown, provides education and outreach to at-risk children in the community through a jazz and blues residency and is undertaking an initiative to connect the fractured physical landscape of the area through outdoor concerts.
Amy has founded or co-founded five non-profit organizations, including the environmental non-profit Dream in Green and is a member of Art Basel’s Junior Host Committee.
